Melshire neighbors,

I wanted to update the community with Encore and the green belt along Quincy.

Please see letter below to Mr Brown who lives on Quincy and is involved with Encore and their project of upgrading monopoles and removing trees along the toll road !

Mr. Brown,

Thank you for your email and the feedback you have provided, it is greatly appreciated. We are waiting for the NTTA to assign a representative that will participate on this committee. Once we have that representative we can schedule the meeting time and location based upon the committee member’s availability. I anticipate having that name tomorrow and will reach out to the committee members to schedule the first meeting.

As for concerns regarding maintaining the existing trees, our engineers and planners have had extensive meetings to determine how this could be done and concluded, we could not successfully upgrade the line with the existing trees. I feel it would be unfair to the neighbors to schedule a meeting implying this remains an option, as this could lead to further frustration. I believe focusing on the mitigation plan such as new plantings, wall upgrade or other options that would address the noise and environmental concerns expressed by members of the community, would be most beneficial.

I have attached the updated project information as well as some Frequently Asked Questions that may assist in addressing some of the concerns raised. As requested, our environmental team will provide the information regarding Electric and Magnetic Fields EMF associated with the use of electric power.

Finally, our goal is to be as transparent as possible and do our best to address the community concerns; while maintaining our commitment to provide safe and reliable electric service. I look forward to working with the Stakeholder Committee to ensuring the areas of concerned our addressed in a timely and responsible manner.
