Social Distance Scavenger Hunt

Let’s give our kids something fun to do in Melshire Estates!

We are excited to announce our first ever social distancing scavenger hunt for kids starting April 8th.

Here’s how it works.  Download this Melshire Estates Logo Image

Then, print it out (yes, it can be in black and white) and put it somewhere it can be seen from the street like your front window.

We will have a time for our kids to go walk, ride a bike, or drive in the cars through out neighborhood to see how many of the signs they can find.

Here’s some suggestions to make it more fun:

  • Print it on colored paper.
  • Add some yarn strings to the bottom of the page.
  • Add your own flair: make it sparkle with glitter, print it in reverse colors, put more than one image up and make a shape, like a giant heart!
  • If you have garden gnomes or other fixture, put the paper in those areas and be creative.
  • Use a colorful ribbon to tie it to a tree.
  • Print a bunch of them and make a large flag in front of your house.

We are asking everyone to put these in their windows now through Friday night.  Then, we are encouraging parents to get the kids outside for some fun on Saturday and Sunday.

We can all post pictures of our kiddos having fun and some of the signs we find in our neighborhoods. Post them to our Melshire HOA Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/melshirehoa

This is such a nice way to support our kids when we can’t get out and do much these days, so I hope you will participate.

If you have any questions, or need me to print a single sheet out for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email to vallala2@gmail.com or by phone 214-789-6272.
