What should happen to the vacant lot at Forest & Nuestra?

Neighbors–If you are new to the neighborhood, you may have wondered why there is a large, vacant lot at the corner of Forest & Nuestra.

For several years, the City of Dallas has planned to relocate the Preston Royal Branch Library to this location in our neighborhood. A design firm has already created conceptual drawings of how the new library might look:

But this library will NOT be built unless bond funds are allocated for its construction. We encourage you to contact our City Councilmember and City Manager to let them know that you strongly support the addition of such a wonderful amenity to our neighborhood. Decisions about bond funding will be made very soon!
